What is an LED Cornice?

This is a cornice that has been specially designed with an integrated LED channel to house your lighting  and create an illuminated look along your ceiling . Its fun, its modern and its easy to install.

 XPS perfect for LED Cornices.

We use XPS due to its lightweight nature making it an easier product to pick up and move its moisture resistant making it a perfect option to add an illuminated element into your wet-rooms and it has been treated with a fire retardant . LED cornices and retrofit.

We have a range of LED cornices that can be retrofitted over another cornices with our retrofitting range , this allows for the new cornice to become a cover over the old cornice thus eliminating the need for demolition making installation easier and quicker for retrofitting LED cornices click here.  For cornice customization of LED or retrofit please send us a message here.

Best LED placement.

The LED channel can be placed at the top of the cornice ( light shooting up towards ceiling) along the bottom of the cornice ( light shooting down towards the ground ) or in the case of the Lorikeet LED cornice LED channel placed in the middle of the cornice ( light shooting towards the cornice and up towards the ceiling) which option is best is depending on the over all look you are wanting to achieve .

Conduit / Aluminium tape

It is recommended to use a conduit to diffuse the LED strip for a better light distribution and prevent bleed through , aluminium tape can also be used for information on the ins and outs of LEDS and perfectly lighting read this blog

What is a LED Cornice?

An LED cornice is a cornice that was specially made with an integrated LED channel. To add lighting and ambience across the ceiling .

Do I need a trunking or a conduit ?

Yes it is very important to have a trunking/ conduit in your LED channel , this helps to distribute the light and prevent bleed through. We recommend a conduit but you can also use aluminimum trunking or aluminimum tape .

How would you get the cable into the LED channel ?

Before placing your cornice aginst the wall mark where the cable needs to go through and make a small incision with a stanley knife pull the cable into the channel place your adhesive and stick against the wall.

Can you paint the cornices?

Yes. all our cornices are safe to be painted with a water based primer and paint it is best to paint before installing the LED and to also paint in the channel.

Are there any retrofit LED cornices ?
