Get familiar with your box
Your mitre box will come with - two sliders, two drop inserts and a fine toothed saw. The sliders will help you adjust the box for large cornice drops. The drop inserts can be placed into the provided squares of your drop size. This mitre box comes with a drill hole if you would prefer to drill your box into your work bench.
Get familiar with your angles
This mitre box is made of standard angles - two 45- two 22.5 and one straight cut . Making sure your cornice is placed at the correct drop size and cut for the correct angle.
Get your cornice flushed
Make sure your cornice is sitting flushed in the mitre box with the top and bottom sitting snug , you want to make sure that your cornice is sitting as if it is up on your ceiling never laying flat.
